Randy and I made a trip to The Loon the weekend of October 26th. We cleaned and organized every inch of the 32 foot Grand Banks interior. After our first day with a very early morning flight from RDU, 3 hour drive and then working hard all day, we were sorry to find out that we were in a dry county!! We didn't make that mistake twice and as you see, by the end of the second day's work, we were prepared to sit back and enjoy a glass of wine.
Next, the Adventure Begins...Mark Mothena and Randy will leave Iuka, Mississippi on December 2 with plans to travel down the Tenn Tom River and reach Fairhope, Alabama on Mobile Bay by December 9th. The Loon will stay there until the next segment of the journey in January 2013.

ReplyDeletePlan is to leave at dawn on Sun Dec 2nd from Aqua Harbor for the 452 mile trip down the Tenn-Tom to Mobile Bay. Mark and Randy are meeting on Sat Dec 1 to provision the boat with food, beer, and wine! My first mate Mark, aka "Little Buddy" from Gilligans Island will be updating the blog daily.
