We left Atlantic Beach at 10:53 heading south!! Loon is loaded down with every tool, spare part, food and drink that could fit in 32 feet. We had a delay this morning when Randy couldn't find his passport. He has been so busy packing and organizing both the boat and house and mistakenly filed it with some papers at home. After about an hour's search, it was found and we were on our way. After the recent bad weather we were lucky to leave with calm wind and sunshine. Late in the day we discovered that the generator wasn't working and changed from our plan to anchor and stopped at Swan Point Marina in Sneads Ferry. Randy worked on it for a couple of hours before deciding to continue on Monday and see a mechanic in Wrightsville Beach. We stopped and had a great lunch at Bluewater Restaurant and the mechanic came to the marina and found the problem to be air in the fuel line which was quickly fixed and we were on our way. With the generator working, we anchored in a cove at Carolina Beach. With hopes of making up for some of the lost time, we left at 7:30 on Tuesday with calm water but a steady temperature of 34 all day and light rain so were inside all day. After 3 days we have found a place to store everything so as not to live in clutter while on this journey. We have tv reception and have watched the Olympics each night and sadly, I am keeping up with the weather reports and missing the snow that I love so much! We had a long day and traveled until 5:30 and anchored near Bucksport, SC off the Waccama River.
Hey Randy and Pat, I am checking on you guys daily. Have fun, be safe and enjoy...love you Wanda
