Continuing

We left West End after one night and traveled with several other boats to Big Sale Cay which was supposed to be a protected anchorage for the night. As darkness fell the sky got dark and the winds shifted during the night. Loon was fine but some of the other boats were dragging their anchors and had a stressful night. With the wind howling we were all up most of the night and on the radio with each other. The other (bigger) boats planned to leave the next am and we were moving to the other side of the island where we would
be protected from the wind. We hadn't gotten our Bahamian phone yet and no internet service where we were and I was already getting anxious about being out of touch with our family. The next am was nice weather and Randy decided we could continue on with the other boats. We had a good trip but arrived at Green Turtle right in the middle of a torrential downpour. We were drenched to our skin by the time the boat was docked but so glad to be there. The facilities at the marina were very nice with friendly staff and visitors.
